A Fun Way to Reflect on 2025

Platforms find new ways to help us reflect on where we’ve been and where we’re going. Why not start 2026 with more LinkedIn fun and a new post idea?

I’ve been seeing a growing trend on LinkedIn with “2025 Rewind” posts that package your year into a fun visual.

At first glance, these posts are entertaining. But they’re also surprisingly strategic.

Your Rewind recap does three important things at once:

1. It tells your professional story.
   Instead of listing achievements in bullet points, it shows momentum with the number of posts, reactions, reposts, and followers, as well as any milestones reached.
2. It humanizes your brand.
    People connect with journeys, not just titles. These posts work because they blend credibility with personality to share your superpower and top quote.
3. It creates a natural engagement moment.
    Reflection posts invite conversation. They prompt others to comment, share their own wins, and reconnect as the new year begins.

What I especially like about the CoAuthor-style rewind posts is that they make storytelling easy. Not everyone finds it easy to summarize a year of work, but structured prompts and templates make it much more accessible, and often more creative.

Some people are way more into metrics than I am. There are only so many hours in a day for me. I run two businesses, watch my grandson weekly, and am a Disney nerd with an annual pass. For me, living life is more important than obsessing over creating posts daily.

Nonetheless, think of this as more than a “fun post.” It is a lightweight, modern version of an annual report for your personal brand.

If you haven’t done one yet, consider:

• Highlighting 3-5 real accomplishments
• Calling out one or two lessons learned
• Naming what you’re excited to build in 2026

Your Rewind becomes both a reflection tool and a positioning asset.
